Update from the Personnel & Session Committee:

NEW INTERIM SENIOR PASTOR
The Session of TPCS has unanimously voted to hire The Reverend Dr. Stephens Lytch as the Interim Senior Pastor for this church. Steve has served interim pastorates in the Pittsburgh Presbytery for the past 3 ½ years, most recently at Dormont Presbyterian Church. Prior to arriving in Pittsburgh he was senior pastor to churches in Kentucky, South Carolina and New Jersey. A graduate of University of North Carolina, Steve received his M.Div. and D. Min. from Princeton Theological Seminary and a Masters Degree in Non-Profit Management from the University of Pittsburgh. He currently serves as adjunct faculty at Pittsburgh Theological Seminary, teaching preaching and pastoral care. Steve is married to The Rev. Dr. Carol Lytch, who is assistant executive director of the Association of Theological Schools. They have two adult children, Katherine and Bill. Steve will begin his ministry with us on April 1, 2010.

SESSION ACTION PLAN ADOPTED
Following the retirement of The Reverend Dana Jones, Session developed an Action Plan for the interim period before a new minister is called to our congregation. Adopted at the February 2010 meeting of Session, the plan provides guidance for the transition period between the retirement of Dana Jones and the arrival of our new Senior Pastor.

Copies of the Session Action Plan will be available at the Information Center in the Robinson Room and here. Please watch your mail for a letter from Session containing a synopsis of this Action Plan, as well as information regarding opportunities for congregational conversation and response to the Plan.

If you have additional comments or questions, feel free to email Session.
