Additional In-kind Donations
Throughout the year, again and again,we bring items to the church which are collected and taken to an outreach site. Please be faithful in responding to these appeals. They are a very visible expression of our mission.

Bethlehem Bazaar
2009 will mark our third year of running this event. Bethlehem Bazaar is an alternative gift market. This is an opportunity presented by the Mission Committee to shop for holiday gifts while benefitting local, regional and international mission work. The bazaar will offer hand crafted items, as well as the opportunity to support a wide variety of mission work. The lively atmosphere is a fun and meaningful way to start the holiday season.

Christmas Food Baskets

Each year near Christmas, the Deacons fill baskets with food for local families. To help those in and around Sewickley struggling to feed themselves and their families, members of this congregation have donated food and money during the weeks proceeding Christmas each year since 1974. These donations enable the Deacons to assemble food baskets for people in the community who need our help. These baskets are roughly the size of two grocery carts and contain one week's worth of food for a family. What a great way to share the plentiful abundance that the Lord has given to each of us! The distribution of these baskets at Christmas is a wonderful example of the mission work carried out by this church. In 2008, we delivered to 88 families throught the Sewickley Valley area. Thank you for your continual support!

The Giving Tree
Each year at Christmas, we remember the many blessings that God has given us. The Giving Tree is a special way to remember those blessings. Each year Children’s Ministries joins with Union Aid to provide Christmas gifts to children of families in need in the Quaker Valley area. In November, look for the Giving Tree in the Robinson Room. Thank you for sharing your blessings with others.

Genesis House Baby Shower
Genesis of Pittsburgh is a maternity care, adoption, foster care, and social service agency that provides a complete spectrum of services to help improve the future prospects of young women facing an unplanned pregnancy. Each spring our congregation helps throw a baby shower for the women living at Genesis House. Look for the tree in the Robinson Room festooned with Easter eggs indicating needed new baby items. For more information about the Genesis House Baby Shower, please contact a member of the Presbyterian Women’s Association.

Christmas in July
Each year the Deacons sponsor the Christmas in July collection. This past July, we collected school supplies for the Fellowship Church in Ambridge and the Sewickley Community Center.
