Sunday Worship Volunteers
Greeters
Greeters welcome folks as they arrive for worship. This is so important. It signs our joy, our hospitality, our welcome. Hug a greeter! Greet our greeters! Be a greeter! Joanna Sarsfield coordinates this ministry. Volunteer! Thank her! Grace and peace to you!
Lay Readers
Read the Bible passage on a Sunday morning from the lectern. The Worship and Music Committee oversee this ministry. Contact Lois McCutcheon if you are interested in volunteering.
Sound System Operators
We have a wonderful crew of sound technicians who volunteer to operate our equipment during worship services and other special events. Dr. David Swan leads this ministry team. Volunteers include Roscoe Carrier, Scott Francis, Scott Hoffman, Glenis Levine, Don Slater, Don Smith, Clay Steup and Chuck Wiebe. We are always seeking new folks to train and add to our rotation. Please prayerfully consider this stewardship commitment.
Thanks!
Usher Ministry
The usher ministry is vital in welcoming people to the worship services and providing information to visitors. It is also a fun and easy way to serve the church and meet other members. The Worship and Music Council oversees the usher program through Usher Captains.
Usher Captains:
There are four usher captains (individuals or couples) who are responsible for arranging for ushers for the worship services for three months each year.
Time Required:
-Ushers can serve as often as their schedule permits.
-Ushers arrive one half hour before the service begins.
Training:
There is a yearly training session on a Saturday morning, but "on the job" training is available from the Usher Captains or Head Ushers.
How to Volunteer:
New ushers including youth and families are always welcome. You can volunteer by contacting the Church or one of the Usher Captains listed in the bulletin.
